Foxglove Puppy Policy
We have policies in place to protect our lines and to protect the puppies that we produce once they leave us to their forever home. It is important to us to make sure our dogs are placed in active homes that are going to benefit the puppies.
No matter if the contract signed is a full contract or a co-ownership contract, the rules within the contract are expected to be followed.
Prefix & Registered Name
The Prefix 'Foxglove's' must remain on the dog no matter what.
The registered name must not be changed of any puppies. The only time input on a registered name is allowed is if co-ownership is agreed prior to the dog being sold.
Buy-back Guarantee
We want the best for our puppies and so no matter what we offer a lifetime buy-back guarantee.
We accept returns on the puppy no matter what, return meaning that the puppy is being given back free of charge.
We will also buy back the puppy at any time if you feel that you can no longer give the dog what it needs, or simply if you are getting out of the breed.
Inbreeding and COI Policy
By purchasing a puppy from Foxglove you are agreeing to our inbreeding and COI policy. Simply put, you should not breed your puppy with :
The sire, the dam, the grandsire or the granddam
Its direct litter mates or its half litter mates (sharing sire/dam)
COI should not be over 5%
Showing Policy
You agree to actively show your pup in its specified disciplines, which are up to the new owner.
Our Gundogs are duel-purpose bred for, of course, Hunting and Field Trials, but also the conformation ring. They will excel in other sports, including Dock Diving, Agility, Obedience, Rally and Retrieving, so feel free to test them.
Ideally, your dog should enter at least 5 shows per sim year (5 shows per 2020-1, 5 shows per 2020-2).
Breeding Policy
You are advised to breed to our breeding policy. This includes not breeding your pup until it is health tested, health screened and titled.
Bitches should be over 2 years old before their first litter, ideally closer to 3 years old, and proven in both working and show ring.
