Our Beliefs
We breed to better the Gundog breeds that we specialise in. These include bettering both the conformation and working stock of these breeds.
We breed our dogs to be duel-purpose, so they are perfect for not only the conformation ring but also purpose for every-day hunting and work. We are strong believers in proving that a dog is worth breeding. We do not, and never will, 'breed for the sake of breeding'. If a dog isn't going to be improved by breeding it then why should it be bred? If there isn't a need for the dog to be bred, then why should it be bred? With the following said, we breed predominantly for ourselves. We are a show and working kennel, and so if we seek need for the next Herding Champion or the next BOB then we will breed. We breed to maintain the high standards that we have always set out. We health screen, health test and genetic test all of our dogs. If the dog isn't up to our breeding standard, it simply will not be bred from.
All of our breedings are planned out ahead of time. We will register anybodys interest within our stock and place you on a waiting list! Our waiting list is free of charge. We do not inbreed or linebreed where possible, we aim to keep a 00.00% COI rating. Carriers will not be bred to carriers. Strictly no merle to merle breedings. |
All of our progeny are sold with contracts. This contract includes a lifetime "Money-Back Guarantee" if you can no longer look after the dog, no longer specialise in the breed or simply no longer want the dog. This is due to us wanting the best for our progeny.
Our main belief, and overall goal, is to create a name and maintain that name for ourselves within the Gundog community. This includes producing BOBs and top quality dogs. We will do so by sculpting out the perfect breedings ; breeding for health and temperament first. |
Our Values
The welfare of our dogs is always at the forefront of our minds. Welfare is pivotal compared to other factors.
We will always put our dogs first ; they are crucial to us. If a dog becomes seriously injured and its very unlikely they will ever recover, or becomes seriously ill, they will be humanely euthanised. If it is something that the dog cannot live with without being in pain, we will do whats best for them. If a dog gets seriously injured with an injury which over time will heal and can be rehabilitated then we can work with this. The dog will be pulled out of the sport and put into retirement. This could be here at the kennel, or seeking retirement as a pet home out of the kennel. Sports like Agility and Herding can cause serious damage or injuries, and so it is medically advised for us not to continue to compete with these dogs. Dogs will, if retired from sport, be pulled from show ring. If a dog is injured but will recover quickly and it not be a life long issue, then the dog will be pulled out of the sport temporarily. We strive to be the best that we can; we're passionate about our dogs and we want the best for them. Once a dog is retired from the show ring or sport, we will do our best to find a companion or pet home for them if they do not retire to our grounds. |
